Geisinger Nursing Institute
We know you have a lot you want to accomplish, but you can’t do it alone. We’re here to help with our organization-wide Geisinger Nursing Institute. The Institute is our governing body and advocacy program for all nurses. It oversees the practice and education of nurses, to ensure you are adequately represented across the organization and in leadership positions.
The Geisinger Nursing Institute is led by four key points that help our nurses provide exceptional patient care.
Nursing Leadership and Collaboration
- Guide and oversee the practice, education and engagement of nurses
- Facilitate strong nurse representation and participation in decision-making
Clinical Excellence and Innovation
- Identify and deploy evidence-based best practices
- Promote a culture of safety, excellence, innovation and continual improvement
Education and Career Advancement
- Establish Geisinger as the preferred health system for nurses to pursue a career
- Provide access to support, education and resources to grow professionally
Community Partnership and Improvement
- Strengthen communities through meaningful engagement
- Actively participate in community health and education initiatives
