Behavioral Health Therapist Part Time
Job Summary
Responsible for providing Behavioral Health services to adults, adolescents, children, and/or families throughout the hospital.
Job Duties
- Provides one to one direct observation and companionship to assigned patients, maintaining focus and in accordance with policies and procedures.
- Ensures a safe environment for patients, families, visitors, and co-workers.
- Observes and reports potential safety risks in accordance with system policies and procedures Provides psychological support to patients, visitors, and families as appropriate.
- Provides independent or supervised therapeutic interaction in the Behavioral Health and Emergency Department setting and other clinical areas as assigned.
- Observes and documents patient behaviors in a therapeutic clinical manner, intervening in accordance with training and relaying information to clinical staff as appropriate.
- Provides direct physical care as needed, including assistance with activities of daily living, behavior management in accordance with training, and collaboration with leadership to determine need for and proper use of physical restraint and seclusion if absolutely indicated.
- Perform rounding on and visualization of Behavioral Health patients within areas as assigned.
